Terms and Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of Short Sync, including account connections, publishing, post management, Stats, streaks, leaderboards, and public bio pages.

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, checking the legal acceptance box, connecting a third party account, or using Short Sync, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use Short Sync for a business or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that party, and “you” includes that party.

2. What Short Sync provides

Short Sync helps users upload short form video content, write a caption, select connected social platforms, request public publication through third party application programming interfaces, retain a first frame thumbnail, open published content on the destination platform, request available performance metrics, track posting streaks, join an optional consistency leaderboard, customize a display name and profile picture, and create an optional public bio page with social and contact links.

Short Sync is an independent service. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by TikTok, YouTube, Google, Instagram, Meta, Facebook, Composio, Zernio, Clerk, Vercel, or Neon.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, complete required email verification, keep your Short Sync credentials and provider API keys secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you notify us and access can reasonably be secured.

Social connections are authorized through the relevant provider or connection service. You may only connect accounts and Pages that you own or are authorized to manage. You may revoke connections in Short Sync or through the applicable provider. Display names, profile pictures, and public page details must not impersonate another person or violate another person’s rights.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of videos, captions, thumbnails, trademarks, and other material you submit. You grant Short Sync a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, format, create a first frame thumbnail from, and send that material to the platforms you select. This license exists only to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service and ends when the material is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal retention.

You represent that you have all rights, licenses, releases, permissions, and consents required to upload and publicly distribute your content, including rights relating to music, footage, people, brands, locations, and advertising claims.

5. Your publishing responsibilities

You control which platforms receive each post and are responsible for reviewing the caption, audience, account, Page, and platform settings before submitting. Posts are requested as public where the platform supports public publishing. Once content reaches a platform, that platform’s terms, community standards, privacy rules, music rules, advertising policies, and technical limits apply.

You must not use Short Sync to publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, exploitative, sexually abusive, privacy invasive, malicious, spam, or platform manipulating content. You must not impersonate others, interfere with the service, evade provider restrictions, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape the service, or use another person’s credentials without permission.

6. Public bio pages

If you publish a Short Sync bio page, its address, name, photo, bio, connected social links, and any buttons you add are intentionally available to anyone and may be indexed, copied, or shared. A preview opened from Short Sync is still a public page. Only publish email addresses, phone numbers, and other contact details that you want the public to see. You are responsible for every destination and statement you add.

Public addresses must be unique. Short Sync may normalize a requested address, remove spaces or unsupported characters, or add a number when a name is already in use. We may change, reserve, disable, or remove an address, profile, or link that violates these terms, creates a security risk, infringes another person’s rights, or misleadingly suggests affiliation with Short Sync.

7. Streaks, Stats, and leaderboard

Streaks use the timezone saved in Preferences and eligible publishing activity recorded by Short Sync. A missed calendar day resets the current streak according to the displayed rules. Changes to a timezone, delayed provider responses, failed posts, deleted records, clock differences, and temporary service errors can affect the value shown. Stats and leaderboard rankings may be cached, delayed, recalculated, corrected, or unavailable.

Leaderboard visibility is enabled by default and can be turned off in Preferences. While enabled, your display name, profile picture, current streak, and posting day totals may be shown to other signed in Short Sync users. The leaderboard is for informal comparison only. It does not award prizes, establish professional standing, or guarantee audience growth or platform performance. You must not manipulate publishing activity, create deceptive accounts, or interfere with rankings.

8. Third party platforms and provider limits

Short Sync depends on services and APIs outside our control. Providers may change permissions, quotas, review requirements, supported media formats, metrics, deletion behavior, or availability at any time. A provider may reject, delay, process, remove, mute, restrict, demonetize, or alter a post. Stats can be delayed, incomplete, estimated, revised, or unavailable.

A successful Short Sync response does not guarantee that a platform will keep a post public. A failed or timed out response may occasionally occur after a platform has accepted a post, so you should check the destination before retrying to avoid duplicates.

9. Deletion and disconnection

Deleting a Short Sync record stops Short Sync from tracking that record and removes associated local Stats and stored media references. It does not automatically delete every platform copy. Short Sync currently supports direct deletion only where the provider makes a reliable deletion API available. Other posts must be removed in the destination platform. Disconnecting an account does not delete content already published there.

Complete account deletion removes access to Short Sync and is intended to remove the account records, connected provider access, stored profile information, bio page, post history, thumbnails, and related Stats controlled by Short Sync. Provider copies, provider logs, infrastructure backups, and records that must be kept for security, disputes, or law may remain subject to their own retention periods.

10. Availability, changes, and beta features

The service may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued. Free allowances, provider integrations, ranking rules, and features may change. We do not promise continuous availability, a particular publishing time, permanent storage, metric accuracy, leaderboard placement, or compatibility with every account or content file. You should retain your own original videos and business records.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service; respond to legal process; address security or abuse; enforce these terms; or prevent excessive or unauthorized usage. An authorized Short Sync administrator may permanently remove an account for these reasons. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion using the contact information below.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Short Sync is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that posts, Stats, rankings, connections, or deletions will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error free.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Short Sync and its operators, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, audience reach, or platform access, arising from or related to the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of 100 US dollars or the amount you paid directly for Short Sync during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Short Sync and its operators from third party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your connected accounts, your public bio page, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Short Sync’s own unlawful conduct.

15. General terms

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without permission. We may transfer the service and these terms as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service, subject to applicable law.

Applicable law and courts with lawful jurisdiction govern disputes. These terms do not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you.

16. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service or law changes. Material changes will be presented in the service or otherwise communicated when required. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; when required, we will request renewed express consent.
